Though it may seem a bit banal, really, all you need is love. God is love and from that love comes grace and mercy and justice. In this most rancorous of polical primaries, the lack of love is glaringly evident in both parties where often the most heated, hateful rhetoric comes from within the party. This loud and unsettling noise has deafened us to the need to listen for that voice that tells us to love God and love our neighbor even as we are loved. But the need must not be ignored.
Loving God and our neighbor calls us to respond to crises here and abroad, to work for justice and fairness in our state and nation, and to love God with all our heart, mind, and strength.
