Celebrated Diocesan Barrier Breakers:

Diane and Bill Mance at St. Matthias, are “Barrier breakers” tackling racism in the Episcopal church and Western North Carolina.

Forney “Skeet” Happold at St. Mary’s/St. Stephen’s in Morganton was one of the first African American campers at Camp Henry.

Brianna Richardson is a Public Health major at Appalachian State University, a member of Presbyterian-Episcopal Campus Ministry, and a youth group leader at St. Luke’s in Boone.
